About Photographic Impressionism:
• Over 500 images in the collection
• All images are as-shot
• All images are taken from a single site
In this photographic collection I record the movement of visitors in a single public space. These images sit obliquely on the boundary of our awareness. The photographs record real-time visitor movement drawing us into a realm of reality adjacent to the one of direct experience. Because the images are indirect I encourage the viewer to question their interpretation of them. What is it they see and why? These questions create a dialog between the art and the viewer in the hope greater insight into the viewer's own assumptions are explored.
