The Travel photography collection is inspired by a desire to capture the genuineness of local cultures during short global travel excursions. Often photographs are taken by walking the streets of interesting places I’m visiting.   This ground-level view from around the world tells a story that I try to reveal with each image as a means to express the culture I discover through direct immersion. In my mind the images serve to bridge a location’s past to its present as a means for me to gain an understanding of its history, or identity, using an existential photojournalistic approach. The Travel photographs represent a continual drive to record life as it is in an ever-changing world.
